Relaxed. Comfortable. Fear-Free Care.
If the thought of going to the dentist makes you nervous, you’re not alone—and we’re here to help. Dr. Collins offers IV sedation dentistry, often referred to as “twilight sedation,” to help you feel calm, safe, and comfortable during your visit.
Unlike many dental offices, Dr. Collins personally administers and monitors your IV sedation right here in our office. That means no extra cost or hassle of visiting a surgical center—just compassionate care in a familiar, trusted environment.
What Is IV Sedation?
IV (intravenous) sedation helps you stay relaxed throughout your procedure—sometimes so relaxed that you drift in and out of sleep. You may not remember much about the treatment, but you’ll feel safe and at ease the entire time. It’s not general anesthesia, so you’re still able to respond if needed, but most patients feel as though they’ve slept through their appointment.
A small IV is placed in your hand or arm, and the medication is delivered gradually to keep you comfortable. If needed, we can adjust or reverse the effects instantly. It’s a safe, highly controlled, and effective option—especially for patients with dental anxiety or complex treatment needs.
Who Can Benefit from Sedation Dentistry?
Patients with Dental Anxiety
If past dental experiences or fear of needles and drills keep you from seeking care, IV sedation offers a calming solution. You’ll be completely relaxed throughout your treatment and likely won’t remember the details.
Seniors and Older Adults
For older patients who may have delayed care due to health concerns, transportation issues, or financial limitations, sedation dentistry can make it easier to catch up on much-needed treatment—all in fewer, more comfortable visits.
Patients with Special Needs
We understand the unique challenges that individuals with disabilities may face when it comes to oral health. Our team is trained and equipped to provide gentle, expert care—including sedation options tailored to help patients with physical or cognitive challenges receive the treatment they need.
A Judgment-Free Approach
We know some patients may feel embarrassed or overwhelmed about their current dental condition. Please know—our goal is never to judge. We’re here to help you feel better, healthier, and more confident, starting with a dental experience that puts your comfort first.
